The Background

With the official collegiate basketball season coming to an end, The Newviews Agency was tasked with increasing ticket sales for the A10 Women’s Championship Conference. We approached the campaign with a multifaceted plan centered around dynamic storytelling, high-impact visuals, and a keen understanding of digital engagement. Our team developed a suite of innovative digital content tailored for fans across multiple platforms, from fast-paced highlight reels and athlete features to countdown graphics and interactive Instagram stories. By tapping into the excitement of postseason play and spotlighting the skill and grit of A10 athletes, we were able to foster a deeper connection between the teams and their fanbase—turning online engagement into in-person attendance.

In addition to our digital strategy, The Newviews Agency designed a bold and visually arresting billboard campaign that ran in key locations, strategically timed to align with ticket sales windows and game announcements. These billboards served as both awareness drivers and emotional touchpoints, featuring action-packed imagery and unified branding across all visual platforms. Our team also focused on organic social media posting, leveraging timely updates, real fan interactions, and behind-the-scenes content to build community momentum. By seamlessly integrating these elements, we helped drive measurable increases in engagement and turnout, underscoring the power of strategic creativity in collegiate sports marketing.

The Ask

Our task was to increase attendance and ticket sales for the conference through a comprehensive advertising campaign spanning both physical and digital media. We also were tasked with increasing brand awareness through organic content creation and honing the brands image with creative graphics and content.

Our Process 

Taking into account the work already completed by the conference's team, we worked diligently to develop a creative strategy that would exceed their expectations. Using our intimate knowledge of the area, our targeted and paid media strategy worked to bring basketball fans through the doors, encouraging them to stay engaged with our other organic media. Increasing brand awareness while hitting their goal of increasing ticket sales. Complimented by the ESPN+ radio ads ran by the conference, our work brought creativity and high quality content to fans everywhere.

More than just paid advertising, we created organic content that helped underscore the hype we generated around the conference with our 2 paid promotional videos. Our team also understands the importance of proliferating our advertising and messaging across both digital and physical spaces. Launching an expertly crafted billboard advertisement, we invoked the well-known spirit of collegiate sports encouraging viewers to learn more about the conference.

In an era where women's basketball is rapidly growing in popularity, our team was thrilled to explore the creativity and speed needed to effectively showcase the A10 Women’s Basketball Championship. Newviews Agency was brought on to provide creative direction and content strategy for the conference’s social media presence. This included developing a cohesive visual identity that honored the conference’s athletic excellence while energizing its digital footprint. From concept to execution, we crafted visual elements that could seamlessly adapt across platforms—ensuring a consistent and compelling presence throughout the championship’s digital campaign.

Our creative process was grounded in research and insight, with a focus on elevating the unique stories of the teams, the A10 Conference, and the community of supporters who bring energy to every game. The visuals and messaging celebrated the momentum of the season while building excitement for the championship. By centering the fan experience alongside institutional branding, we created a campaign that felt both official and deeply personal—driving engagement and pride across the A10 audience.

Billboard Design

Our creative team delivered the A10 billboard from concept to installation in record time, turning a tight deadline into an opportunity to showcase bold, unmistakable design. Anchored in a striking palette of red, black, and white, the artwork pairs dynamic action shots of conference athletes with a gleaming championship trophy, creating a visual narrative of ambition and achievement that can be read—and felt—in a single glance.

Equally important was where the message lived. Working with A10’s media planners, we selected a high-visibility billboard location that captures consistent foot and vehicle traffic throughout the day, ensuring the artwork’s impact wasn’t just striking but strategically amplified. The result is a placement that works as hard as the design itself—converting awareness into excitement every time fans pass by.

Short-form Content

For the A10 Women’s Championship video promos, our team implemented creative A/B testing to refine visual and messaging approaches based on real-time performance data. By analyzing audience response to variations in tone, pacing, and call-to-action placement, we optimized each piece of content for maximum impact. We also strategically incorporated trending audio to align with platform-specific engagement trends, ensuring the promos remained both relevant and professional while capturing the energy of the championship.

The Results

As with every campaign, our team provides detailed, customizable reports. Tailored to the goals of the client, we provide insight into the data we collect, emphasizing transparency with our results. The Newviews team utilized the strengths of each piece of content, catering our advertisements to target demographics increasing engagement. Turning the data into strategic pivot points, we were able to spend less; using 75% less of our first ad budget in the second and third campaigns. Despite the decrease in spend, we garnered more engagement and reach compared to our most expensive advertisement campaign.
