Each year, Venture Richmond highlights the progress and transformation happening across the city, and this year, our video brought the community’s voice to the forefront. From revitalized spaces to inclusive initiatives, we focused on what these developments truly mean for the people who live, work, and grow in Richmond. The result is a video that not only informs, but inspires, reminding viewers that progress is most meaningful when it uplifts everyone.

Our video doesn’t just show development—it captures the spirit of Richmond. We placed a strong focus on revitalized public spaces, inclusive community-driven initiatives, and the creative energy that defines the city’s identity. We also highlighted a range of new businesses that are not only bringing economic vibrancy to Richmond but also fostering spaces for cultural expression, collaboration, and belonging.

Our Process
Using our intimate knowledge of the Richmond community, we were able to create an impactful 12 minute video for Venture Richmond's annual conference. Our creative process involves meaningful collaboration between the client and our team, resulting in exciting storytelling campaigns designed to succeed.
Project Overview
As Venture Richmond continues to reshape the city, they asked The Newviews Agency to translate a year of civic progress into an engaging story for their annual conference. We produced a 12-minute, high-definition film that combines documentary-style footage with bespoke motion-graphic sequences, clearly spotlighting each milestone development and setting a confident tone for the event.

Working within little more than a two-month timeline, our producers collaborated closely with every business and community organization featured, securing material and approvals while keeping day-to-day operations uninterrupted. A hand-picked team of Richmond-based cinematographers, editors, and animators—supplemented by specialized talent from neighboring markets—guided the project through planning, filming, post-production, and delivery. The result is a polished showcase that reflects both the momentum of Venture Richmond’s projects and the collaborative spirit that drives the city forward.

Our seamless and efficient work was made possible by the comprehensive preproduction work we completed prior to shooting. With everyone working to establish creative ideas and manageable workload delegation, we were able to plan every detail of our day. This unity was key to creating a beautiful piece of content, but also in establishing timelines ensuring success.
As we moved through the shoot, our pre-production efforts paid off allowing for seamless transitions which helped us finish ahead of schedule. With the collaborative effort of the creative and production management sections of our team, from sunrise to wrap up we smoothly worked through the day documenting the process along the way.
Creativity and efficiency was the game, yet we made time to celebrate and capture the magic off-screen as well. Highlighting the work of each team member as well as the clients, we captured the magic behind the scenes at each location.
