The Care We Carry: Women's History Month Hygiene Kit Initiative

With Spring fast approaching, we wanted to bring the spirit of spring cleaning to those in need. We understand the sensitive nature of providing essential hygiene products, and the stigma of not being able to provide. Our goal was to alleviate the burden, and stigma of caring for yourself as well as others.

Why We Chose This Initiative

Newviews Connects uses strategic initiatives to bring the most impact to Richmond. It was important for us to align with partners who are just as committed to improving the lives of others as we are. We also worked diligently to curate donations that would be the most useful to these organizations.

Selecting our Partners

Our initiative was made possible by our wonderful partners: Hannah's Home and Salvation Army. These wonderful organizations have made it their mission to champion restorative and collaborative support for the City of Richmond. Hannah's Home provides a space for single mothers suffering from addiction to find faith, healing, and community in a safe environment. Salvation Army has been a pillar in the community providing social services across the globe with food, clothing, and financial assistance.

These organizations were chosen for the immense and long-standing support they provide to the community. Newviews Connects was beyond grateful to provide support to them for a change.

The Impact of Donating

Our hygiene kits were filled with essentials, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap, pads and pantyliners, and tampons. With over 100 kits put together, we were able to split our donation between two poignant organizations dedicated to bettering the world. Our team selected the items that are most necessary to living a happy and healthy life, while focusing on an often overlooked and over-priced category of feminine hygiene products.

Reflecting on Our Mission

The Newviews Agency is more than just marketing and creatives; Newviews Connects is our way to give back to the community that has served us since our conception. Our plan is to reach as many people as we can, in all of our endeavors. This initiative wouldn't have been possible if not for our wonderful team members and partner organizations. Every day presents a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, and give back, both to ourselves and to our community. As we step into May, we’re embracing that spirit with a renewed focus on compassion, connection, and care. Looking into the month of May, Newviews Connects is proud to honor Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to reflect on the importance of mental well-being and to support the individuals and resources that make a difference in our everyday lives.
